Even oily skin types need not shy away from the wonders of facial oils.

Facial oils have been available for some time now, but their use dates back many centuries to when women in tribes and empires used to include facial oils in their skincare routines. To this day, it is touted to be the best skincare secret a woman can use for her skin to renew, regenerate and help it glow.

How can I use facial oils effectively?

A facial oil can be used on the face and neck areas, and it is suitable for all skin types. Yes, you read that right. Even if you have oily or sensitive skin, you can still use facial oils to help repair your skin. Using no more than 2 drops, rub the oil between your palms to help warm it up. Once you have spread the product evenly to coat your palms, pat the oil over a cleansed face. This step should be done after your moisturiser or serum to allow the products to adhere better.

Facial oils can be used to combat various skincare woes. Take acne for example. Acne can leave your skin dry and patchy. Try using a rosehip facial oil to help soothe and treat your skin. It will help to lighten the scars left behind over time. If you struggle with puffiness, use a little extra facial oil to massage your face. Apply a little pressure to flush any toxins out by massaging upwards and outwards.

When choosing a facial oil, choose one that is suitable for your skin type. Check out the gallery above for a round up of 10 amazing facial oils to try for glowing skin.
