Christmas evokes a time of family gatherings, gift-exchanging, and travel across the world. The Body Shop has chosen to highlight another wonderful aspect of the holidays: helping those in need. At a time when life and love are celebrated – often through the process of exchanging gifts with loved ones – it is fitting that we should give back to our society in any way possible, whether in a grand or a humble gesture. With The Body Shop’s latest project, contributing back to society is just a few clicks away.

This festive season, the Body Shop Foundation is donating £400,000, through the sales of Christmas presents, to help build five schools in various places around the world – Ghana, Honduras, Nepal, and Northern and Southern India. Each country has a specific cause which The Body Shop is helping to battle. For example, in Nepal, the Body Shop has teamed up with a school to prevent sex trafficking, which is a major issue for young girls, and to promote education and careers for women. In each of these countries, the education centres which will be built will make significant changes to society. The three aims of the foundation are to make a positive difference, build brighter futures, and activate self-esteem. These wonderful goals are clear through the slogan, “Give Joy to Every Body.”

The Body Shop items which go toward this cause are seasonal limited editions, ranging from Cranberry Joy to Ginger Sparkle to Vanilla Bliss. All three scents embody the holiday spirit, and come in a variety of products, such as body butter, lip balm, home fragrance oil and more. Additionally, there are dozens of cute stocking fillers and a special-edition Winter Trend makeup collection. These are all perfect additions to any gift basket or a present for a loved one. And while the gifts will delight your loved ones, they will also help make the world a better place.
