Review: Dr. Belter Cosmetic [Intensa Line] Shake-It! Mask treatment

Clogged pores, irritated skin and a dull complexion are the inevitable result of an unhealthy lifestyle, and something you probably want to keep away from for as long as you can.

This is why detoxifying is such an important process every once in a while. Yes, you’ve probably heard the wonders of adding some greens to your diet, or perhaps you’ve jumped onto the juice cleanse bandwagon yourself. While it’s absolutely necessary to ensure a healthy diet, why not expedite the detoxifying process with a relaxing yet effective facial treatment that’s going to help you get rid of all that gunk on your face – fast?

Dr. Belter Cosmetic »intensa®« Shake-It! Mask

The Dr. Belter Cosmetic »intensa®« Shake-It! Mask is a double-mask treatment that aims to detoxify the skin while making sure the face, neck and décolleté are left feeling refreshed and nourished with only the best ingredients. The mask is incredibly unique by itself – presented in the form of a powder, you’ll have to shake it up with water in order to turn it into a light and fruity treat for your face!

The first step consists of the Mask Peel-Off – Carbon D-Tox that combines active carbon with detox properties from ivy and sunflower into an alginate, in order to moisturise the skin, and absorb impurities at the same time. Next, a second mask is applied to help the skin replenish lost nutrients. Depending on your skin condition, either the Aqua Mousse or Cream Mousse is layered onto the skin. The former is a refreshing option catered to oily skin, while the latter boasts of anti-oxidants suitable for dehydrated skin. Developed using the signature GreenTec concept, rest assured that your skin will shine with only the most natural, radiant glow after the treatment.

I was recently given the opportunity to try out this new treatment by the lovely people at The Good Folks and Annabelle Skin, and I can proudly say that I was extremely pleased with the results. Here’s how it went.

The Treatment

Before diving into the luxurious 75-minute treatment, I was introduced to the owner of Annabelle Skin and renowned beauty therapist, Shirley Mok. What caught my attention first was the flawless complexion she adorned despite her age. From then on, I knew I was in good hands. Shirley seated me for a skin analysis, where I was given a detailed explanation, complete with magnified images, about my skin condition. Since there were parts of my skin which were over-exfoliated, Shirley recommended the Cream Mousse for me.

I was then ushered into one of the rooms (cleverly hidden from view by a simple door) and instructed to remove my clothing and accessories in order to allow for the neck and shoulder massage later on. Of course, a tube dress was provided for modesty. I then slipped under the sheets, ready for my pampering session.

First, the Line »N« Cleansing Gel was applied to my face, followed by the Line »N« Lotion Orange, to ensure my face was clear of any dirt, prepped to fully benefit from the products that would be introduced later on. After which, the »intensa®« Enzym Cream Peeling was applied and left on for 15 minutes to allow a deep cleansing action to take effect.

Next, the peel was removed and the »intensa®« Shake-It! Mask Peel-Off – Carbon D-Tox administered. An anti-ageing ampoule, the »intensa®« Ampoule 14 Physio-Energy, containing an invigorating formula designed to bring out a healthy and smooth complexion, was massaged into my skin afterwards.

Now, my skin was prepped and ready for the second step of the »intensa®« Shake-It! Mask treatment, the Mask & Massage Cream Mousse. The light strawberry scent from the mask was a delight to my senses, as I enjoyed a soothing massage while my skin soaked up all the nutrients it was lacking.

As a finishing touch, the »ocula« Eye Lid Lotion was applied onto my eye and lip areas, followed by another short massage session with some Dr. Belter Cosmetic products and essences. To end it all off, my face was once again cleansed with the Line »N« Lotion Orange and the Line »N« Cream Vitagel C/E, and topped off with a moisturising face cream.

How I Felt After

As I looked into the mirror, I was amazed at how clear my pores were even though the treatment felt incredibly gentle on my skin. It was only then that I fully understood that it was possible to unclog pores without painful extractions or deep cleansing masks that may not even do the job well and can leave your skin even more damaged than before. Due to the attentive, personalised care my skin experienced, right up to the sequence of aftercare I was instructed to follow, my skin felt healthier than ever for the next few days. I was thoroughly impressed with the results, and I can confidently say that you will be too.
