Beauty Review: Fujifilm’s Astalift White Bright Lotion

Marie France Asia’s beauty writer Lim Han tries out Fujifilm’s Astalift White Bright Lotion and shares her results.

Exude radiance with Fujifilm’s Astalift White Bright Lotion

Ever woke up with a throbbing head and grievous lethargy after one too many drinks the previous night? Well, you’re not the only one with a hangover – your skin is a victim of it too. Skin dullness and fatigue is often the result of excessive drinking, as alcohol triggers the body’s production of aldehyde, a key culprit of tired skin. If you’re not a drinker, don’t heave a sigh of relief just yet. Aldehyde can be produced by other factors as well, one of them being the active oxygen triggered by UV rays. That’s right, you’re in danger just by standing in the sun. And, what can you expect in time to come? A pale and yellow complexion as a result of the degradation of your skin’s collagen. Trust us, it’s not a pretty sight.

But, all hope is not lost. Fujifilm has found a cure to our skin’s terrible hangover – the newly formulated Astalift White Bright Lotion with added ferulic acid! Working hand in hand with other active ingredients, it works to prevent collagen deterioration and bolsters skin transparency, leaving you with a smooth and even tone. Who needs highlighters and strobing palettes anymore if you have this divine elixir to bring out your natural stunning glow?

Our Verdict

I was born with tan skin and that sun-kissed shade has never left me. After futile tries of home remedies and skincare tricks, I’ve since resigned to my fate and given up on skin brightening tips and products. But, I decided to give Fujifilm’s Astalift White Bright Lotion a go as, truth be told, I was intrigued by Fujifilm’s venture into the unchartered waters of the beauty realm. I mean, from cameras to lotions? That’s a pretty big jump. But, just like their phenomenal cameras, this product did not let me down.

After cleansing my face, I pumped out a small amount of the brightening lotion onto my palm and was expecting a viscous creamy lotion to ooze out. Instead, the product was of a lightweight liquid consistency. Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong about that. In fact, upon application, I realised that this made it even easier for my skin to drink up and absorb in a jiffy. Not to mention, I was loving the delectable rosy scent that wafted into my nose. After rubbing and patting the rosy liquid onto my face, I was left with dewy skin that looked and felt fresh.

A few days of its inclusion into my skincare routine saw my skin exuding a soft radiance after each use and a minute increase in fairness, albeit nothing too drastic. Of course, I can’t expect much within a mere few days but I can definitely see the wondrous potential of this product. I definitely look forward to the continuous usage of this product and the spectacular results that may follow!

Fujifilm fanatics, you now have one more reason to patronise their stores – and it’s not for their cameras.

Fujifilm’s Astalift White Bright Lotion will be available in stores from 12 May 2017 at the Wisma Atria, JEM and Junction 8 outlets, Jurong Point BHG, and selected pharmacies.
