Luscious lips and matte eyes – Here’s how to recreate Kylie Jenner’s most talked about staple pout in just a few steps.
Whether the Keeping up with the Kardashians star has had lip injections, or is just really talented with a lip liner – Kylie Jenner’s plumped-up-pout has us going ga-ga over luscious lips this season.
To recreate the look, start off with a medium to high coverage foundation – we’ve heard that Jenner’s favourite is Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation. Chizzle away by contouring your cheekbones, nose, forehead and jawline with a matte bronzer.
Outline your brows using an eyebrow pencil – fill them in with a shadow in a shade that matches your natural hair colour. For the eyes, keep it simple by applying a taupe eyeshadow to the crease – ‘Frisk’ eyeshadow from the Naked2 Basics palette will do the trick. Enhance your lash line by smudging some black liner from the middle of the eye outwards. To finish the eyes, apply a coat of your favourite volumizing mascara.
Using a matte/heavy duty concealer, hide the outlines of your lips by patting the product in place with your fingers – go a little above your natural lip line to create a base. To achieve a sumptuous pout, use a lip pencil to draw on a lip line wherever the fullness is desired – remember to keep looking into the mirror to make sure you haven’t overdone it. You can also enhance and sculpt your cupid’s bow using this technique. To finish, fill in your lips with the same lip liner – making sure the products is spread evenly, leaving no gaps where a false lip line could be detected.
Our tip: If you have light skin, opt for M.A.C’s Whirl lip liner. If you have dark skin, choose M.A.C’s Soar – this is the one Kylie Jenner has openly admitted to using.
