Designer to the stars, Rubin Singer, is set to showcase his 2014 collections for the first time in Singapore.

When designers were revealed for the upcoming Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore, it was impossible to reign in our excitement. That is until we got wind of who was showcasing at the curtain-raiser gala night to fashion week.

Making his debut in Singapore is New York-based couture designer, Rubin Singer, particularly lauded for his refined and innovative take to fashion. Coupled with impeccable construction and an eye for the female aesthetic, Singer, is bound to enthrall viewers at the showcase and leave them pining for more.

Having dressed celebrities such as Shakira, Fergie, Leona Lewis, Queen Latifah and Heidi Klum on various occasions, Singer was already a reputable name on the red carpets. However, fame promptly ensued when he designed the bespoke piece Beyoncé wore during her now iconic Super Bowl 2013 performance.  And yes, we’re talking about that black leather and lace warrior-esque body suit that got audiences riled up to new heights!

Similarly his showcase in Singapore – where select red carpet pieces from his Spring Summer 2014 and Fall Winter 2014 collections will be shown – will not disappoint. The SS14 collection takes cues from the immaculate queens of ancient Egypt while the FW14 collection was inspired from the lines and shapes of Santiago Calatrava’s El Puente de la Mujer Bridge in Buenos Aires.

The constant between both collections is Singer’s dexterity in craftsmanship, architectural silhouettes and flattering styles. Hence, whether they are long gowns or short dresses, Singer’s flair to subtly hit on being provocative will leave audiences in a heady rush.

“My style is known to be aggressive and seductive. I want to push the boundaries of fashion using new materials and techniques to present a new way of thinking about luxury fashion and design. I look forward to sharing my vision with the fashion-forward women of Singapore” said Rubin Singer.

Well, we personally cannot wait!
