Caruso
As Caruso show started, we stepped back in time to the 70s with big hair, bold prints and bright colours. All the male models had blond wigs and heavy white powder on their faces in sync with the theme of the collection. When they walked out at the finale - and as we sneaked at them backstage, the view was one to behold...

Kaal E Suktae
Kaal E Suktae harkened to the child in everyone, taking inspiration from popular Korean cartoon Dooly for this season's collection. Models walked down the runway in playful Dooly print jackets and the finale had them sucking on oversized pacifiers in their mouths. Certainly a show to remember!

Supercomma B by Suecomma Bonnie
Korean rap and hip hop are on the rise and no other label reflects this quite as well as Supercomma B. Everything about the collection screamed edgy and cool, from the show's choreography with breakdancing to the clothes and choice of unconventional models with visible tattoos.

PartpARTs
This label is as much about fashion as it is about art, hence the play on the word 'art'. This season saw a lot of bold eye makeup, but PartpARTs stood out with their striking, tribal-inspired white makeup that blended seamlessly with the clothes on display and added to the dramatic mood with Gospel-like humming as soundtrack.

PartpARTs
Playing up their artistic side, PartpARTs had a non-conventional model in his 60s walk the runway for their show, proving that Koreans don't play by the rules when it comes to fashion shows.

87mm
Womenswear-inspired outfits were a major theme on the men's runways at Seoul Fashion Week. 87mm led the way with their pastel hues and feminine silhouettes. Men in pink? Not a rarity on the runways of Seoul - and the Korean models pulled it off with finesse.

Soulpot Studio
This was the third installment for Soulpot Studio's 'SEOUL' project, with the designer using fashion and the show's choreography to illustrate Korean society and fitting 'in Seoul' with its high standards.
A blue square arch was erected towards the end of the runway, where models walked around, but only a few walked through. This was the designer's way of saying how fitting in Seoul was not an option for many of those living in the city.
The end of the show saw a model conciling with her younger self as she brings a young girl and together they walk through the dominating blue arch. It was the most emotional - and beautiful - show concept and ending we've seen this season.

Lie SangBong
Leave it to Korea's most esteemed designer, Lee Sang Bong, to put on a show! While the designer's previous collection was a sombre homage to the victims of the ferry tragedy, this season sees his label Lie SangBong take inspiration from Oriental calligraphy. The designer wanted to go back to Korean history and the ancient art of artistic writing, which is beautifully depicted in the designs of his latest collection. It was flawless to say the least.

Who knew a medical setting could be tres chic? The designers transformed the runway into a pharmeceutical lab with models strutting the catwalk in lab coats, nurse-inspired aprons and medical grubs. Everything from the cutout doctors to the hazard signs proved that no little detail was spared in making the runway their make believe medical world.

Cres. E Dim
By far one of the coolest shows with the coolest accessories. Streetwear Cres. E Dim paid homage to the 33 miners in Chile who were trapped underground for 69 days - hence the collection was called 'Trienta y Tres' meaning '33' in Spanish.
At the finale, all the lights were switched off and the show was plunged into darkness, save for the lights shining from the miners' headlamps on the models' heads. A dramatic ending accompanied with Snoop Dogg's 'Drop it like it's Hot' playing at the same time. We loved it!

The show may be over but Korea’s fashion week proves it has what it takes to wow the international crowd. Here are some of the best moments we caught on camera.

Forget what you saw at Fashion Week in New York, London and Paris. Some of the coolest looks of the season were at Seoul Fashion Week which just wrapped up its final show last Wednesday. The stunning collections and avant-garde designs on the runway provided endless sartorial inspiration for the editors, bloggers, fashionistas and celebrities in attendance. This being Seoul, attention to detail and quirky were the order of the day. Paris may have had their Zoolander moment, but in Seoul, it was the backstage moments and little attention to detail on the runway that caught our eyes.
