When we were first introduced to the world of chefs introducing herbs, salts and everything savoury into desserts, we thought it might be a passing culinary fad.

Countless seasons and numerous food crazes later, it seems like savoury desserts are becoming a staple across many restaurants and menus both globally and locally. You have salt infused into sweet, rich caramel; bacon and chilli whisked into chocolates; fresh herbs tossed into sweet ganache – in short, the marriage of savoury and sweet in desserts are endless.
