If you’re looking for a home away from home then this boutique hotel in Ubud (Bali) is just the perfect spot of relaxation.

Let’s be honest, there’s probably no reason to not hit up Bali for a relaxing weekend getaway. In fact, there could only be more – one of them being the year-old boutique hotel, Bisma Eight located in the popular stretch of Jalan Bisma in Ubud.

Think of Ubud as the much more cultural part of Bali and immediately visions of a lush, tropical escape with traditional villages and old historical buildings will come to mind. And if anything, there’s no denying the sheer beauty that resides beneath the foliage. For starters, the quaint yet luxurious Bisma Eight property offers up a mean plate of calming respite for urbanites.

With 38 spacious suites divided into Forest, Canopy and Garden variants, the rooms feature a mix of modern design and traditional Balinese craftsmanship. All of which is present in every nook and cranny of the resort – from the ikat pillows to the woven jute rugs and the teak wood furniture.

What is particularly stunning though are the round Japanese-inspired tubs crafted from cedar wood that promises to give quite the rejuvenating soak as you listen in on nature’s soundtrack in the background. Could we spell bliss any better?

Beyond being a cosy nest for relaxation, the venue also prides itself for providing an all rounded affair when it comes to nature and wellness – central to the Ubud way of life. From housing an organic farm (Bisma Gardens), which supplies fresh produce to the kitchens, to sourcing coffee beans from local coffee roasters and having leafage, creepers and wild grass grace the facade, it’s a luxurious retreat that feels inexplicably grounded.

“It’s not simply a hotel” are words the team behind Bisma Eight strive to evoke from guests. After all, when there’s a seamless blend of culture and heritage with modernity and invention, it’s hard to not see the homely charm of the space.

Who else is ready to dive into that pool?
