These include lip balms from large cosmetic brands like <strong>Garnier, La Roche Posay and Carmex<\/strong> - hugely popular labels that are also widely carried throughout Asia.<\/p>  <p>Others contained <strong>Mosh<\/strong> (\u2018mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons\u2019), which if swallowed, can make its way into your<strong> lymph nodes and liver and inflame them.<\/strong><\/p>  <p>And they don\u2019t contain just traces of the substance either - in fact, according to the report, the level of Mosh in these lips are at \u201cextremely undesirable\u201d levels, particularly on account of their toxicity when ingested.<\/p>  <p><u>The Lip Balms to Avoid, According to the Study<\/u><\/p>  <ul> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Macadamia lip balm from Yves Rocher<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tr\u00e9sors de miel nourishing lip balm, Garnier Ultra Doux<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Original classic care, Labello<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Classic moisturising lip balm, Carmex<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nultric transforming balm for dry lips, La Roche Posay<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hom\u00e9ostick, Boiron<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cold cream nourishing balm, Av\u00e8ne<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nutrition balm for dry lips, Le petit Marseillais<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hydrating lip balm, Aptonia<\/li> <li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hydrating lip balm, Uriage<\/li> <\/ul>  <p>Interestingly enough, the safest, most effective and hydrating lip balm in the study was also found to be the cheapest - the Lidl's \"Cien\" brand lip balm -\u00a0 illustrating that the staggering price difference between drugstore and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/beauty-buys\/skincare\/pucker-up-10-luxurious-lip-balms-that-are-worth-the-money-147926.html#item=1\">high-end balms\u00a0<\/a>does not necessarily translate to results.<\/p>  <p>It is slightly alarming to note how many recent studies have surfaced toxic ingredients in seemingly harmless everyday products, from makeup, skin care to body and hair products.<\/p> <p>Perhaps the bigger lesson here is to be smart about our purchases as consumers, do our due research on the ingredients used and strongly consider switching to natural or <a
