\"Cara<\/span><\/p>

After the recent announcement that Cara Delevingne<\/a> would be the face of Saint Laurent\u2019s new campaign, many fans expressed surprise at the unexpected comeback to the fashion world. It was widely speculated last year that the English style icon<\/a> had decided to step back from modelling to focus on her acting career.<\/p>

Delevingne took to Twitter last week to put the rumours to rest once and for all. \u201cCan we just set the record straight\u2026 I never said I was quitting modelling,\u201d<\/em> she wrote.\u00a0\u201cI suffer from depression and was a model during a particularly rough patch of<\/em> self hatred\u201d<\/em>. Moving on from her grim confession, she acknowledges the positive changes made to her life: \u201cI am focusing on filming and trying to learn how to not pick apart my every flaw. I am really good at that\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>

So, yes, while she may be concentrating on her acting career<\/a>\u00a0now, it is clear that Delevingne is not at all done with her life as a model. We just hope she stays strong and continues to grace us with her spectacular campaigns, movies and impeccable style.<\/p>
