Glitter makeup isn\u2019t new to the beauty<\/a> scene. It has been attempted, re-attempted, presented in a different way many a times. However we caught a sneak peek of a dramatic glitter trend during New York Fashion Week (NYFW).<\/p>

After glitter beards and pits, we are now in the presence of glitter<\/a> tears. Yes you read that right, tear droplets created using cosmetic grade glitter. Think of it as just smearing sparkle under your eyes and around the lashline. Spotted first at Burberry\u2019s AW16 show, this trend has made its way to other shows and has been seen on actresses such as Suki Waterhouse. Suki was seen flaunting champagne gold \u201cglitter tears\u201d as she walked the red carpet at the London premiere of Pride And Prejudice And Zombies<\/em>.<\/p>

When we see glimpses of this trend, we can\u2019t help but get reminded of the late David Bowie who used to rock bursts of stardust in his videos. Recreating this trend is easier than it seems. All you\u2019re going to need is cosmetic grade glitter, glitter glue or lash glue and an art brush. Start off by completing your full face of makeup, complete with concealer. Once your makeup <\/a>has set, apply a little of the glue on the area where you intend to create tear droplets. Use the glue as a guide and once it\u2019s sticky, apply the glitter bit by bit using the art brush. Take your time with this to avoid excessive fallout. Use patting motions to secure the glitter in place and allow it to try. Once you\u2019ve practiced enough, experiment with more than 1 shade to create a gradient effect.<\/p>
