Fashion moments were abundant this weekend with the Academy Governors Awards and the Baby2Baby Gala. Sadly, only one can be named best dressed and it is our honour to award it to actress Kerry Washington who showed up in Giambattista Valli<\/a>.<\/p>

As the recipient of the Giving Tree Award, Washington spared no expense in bringing the drama to the gala in a gown complete with a voluminous skirt. The black couture<\/a> dress was mostly sheer, with a see-through sweeping skirt that was also sheer above the bust. Oversized pale pink petals were strewn around the dress, making them appear as if they were cascading down from the bodice. The actress chose to let the dress shine, accessorising with understated stud earrings and rings along with a black clutch.<\/p>

The show-stopping gown was a part of Giambattista Valli \u2018s extremely floral<\/a> Fall 2015 couture collection. Valli has previously dressed stars like Lena Dunham and Lupita Nyong\u2019o. which have been noted in several best dressed lists.<\/p>

Not quite her style, but we think Olivia Pope would approve, wouldn\u2019t you?<\/p>
