Themed \u2018Colours of Life\u2019 the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/culture\/singapore-events\/news-and-activities\/singapore-writers-festival-2015-events-look-130041.html\">festival<\/a> aims to celebrate the Singapore River as the nation's lifeline as well as the Empress Place area.<\/p> <p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cRiver Nights is for Singaporeans and visitors to enjoy our beautiful garden city,\u201d <\/em>said festival co-director Dr Lim Chye Hong, <em>\u201cThis is a place making initiative to elevate the Empress Place precinct to its rightful role in the Singapore fabric as a creative playground.\u201d<\/em><\/p> <p><em>\u00a0<\/em>This is River Night\u2019s second year running and is organised by the Asian Civilization Museum in collaboration with the National Arts Council, National <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/food\/hot-spots\/recommended-spots\/wild-singapore-local-cafes-heart-nature-127202.html\">Parks<\/a> Board, Singapore River One and Hermes.<\/p> <p>With so much going on, we pick our top five favourites that will be ongoing during the festival.
