Carey Mulligan attended the Suffragetes movie premiere in New York early this week dressed in an Alexander McQueen<\/a> dress and a pair of Jimmy Choos<\/a>. Looking elegant and cute, the\u00a0mousey beauty brings the dress, that is quite mild by McQueen standards, to life on the red carpet and looks impeccable.<\/p>

The dress has a bandeau neckline, which is adorned with a huge satin bow, flows down into a cinched waist to show off her petite figure. It then fluffs out in a tulle A-line, that ends just above the ribbons of her heels. Her shoes are absolutely gorgeous and it makes the whole outfit come together ever so perfectly. They\u2019re extremely dainty and sweet, with the ballet-inspired ribbons, that are tied up around her ankles. We like that the toes are closed and pointed, because if she had worn something more chunky, or open-toed, the whole outfit\u00a0would have been ruined.<\/p>

She wore very simple jewelry and by simple, we mean, she wore just one ring. A thick-banded, diamond ring on her finger, and nothing else. Her makeup was also classic and sweet - with a ruby red lipstick, and regular eyeliner. Her hair has grown out from its old\u00a0pixie<\/a>-cut hairdo to\u00a0a tousled, shoulder-length style, which suits her very well.<\/p>

And even though there were other events going on this week, Carey definitely looked the best, proving that sometimes less is indeed more.<\/p>
