The affinity for number five did not come about by luck. The iconography of\u00a0N\u00b05 reveals that the number held a special place in\u00a0French couturier, Gabrielle \"Coco\" Chanel's heart. It had a mystic meaning and it is known\u00a0that Chanel chose the fifth vial from some scent <\/a>compositions presented to her by a\u00a0master perfumer.<\/p>

She famously said \"I present my dress collections on the fifth of May, the fifth month of the year and so we will let this sample number five keep the name it has already, it will bring good luck.\"<\/em><\/p>

It has certainly brought with it good luck as over the years, Chanel's cult\u00a0N\u00b05 has cast a spell on millions\u00a0around the world with its luxurious scent. Fast forward to 2015 and we are ready to welcome the modern interpretation of N\u00b05.<\/p>

Chanel N\u00b05 Eau Premiere<\/strong>\u00a0contains notes of neroli,\u00a0aldehydes and ylang-ylang along with hints of rose and jasmine. Completing the new fragrance are base notes such as\u00a0vetiver, sandalwood and vanilla, which honestly sounds like quite the floral delight to us.\u00a0Housed in the signature Chanel perfume bottle, this fragrance is also\u00a0available as a Eau De Parfum<\/a>. Additionally, the classic perfume bottles in the new, smaller editions (35ml) definitely make it so much more portable\u00a0for on the go freshening up!<\/p>

So if you're looking to switch up your fragrance selection or treat yourself this festive season, it's definitely high time you made a visit to Chanel.<\/p>

Available in\u00a0new 35ml formats, Chanel N\u00b05 Eau Premiere and N\u00b05 Eau De Parfum will hit all Chanel stores and counters from 30 October.<\/em><\/p>
