Oilily, the\u00a0high-end, women and children's clothing brand<\/a> originating from Holland\u00a0has finally found its bearings to Singapore. For the initiated, the Dutch brand boast of quite the long and illustrious history. Founded in 1963 by Willem en Marieke Olsthoor, the label\u00a0made colourful and adorable apparels for children to inject a tinge of quirky to the otherwise relatively dull children's clothes of those times.<\/p>

Priding themselves for quality fabrics and unique colour combinations, Oilily eventually expanded to womenswear, bags, accessories and also dabbled a bit in scents, among other things. Not before long, they garnered the love of celebrities like Julia Roberts<\/a> and Melanie Griffith.<\/p>

However, in 2008, the company took a nosedive downwards and had to sell their shares. It was an undeniable low for the company, but the second generation of\u00a0Olsthoors' did not give up and in 2009, Oilily returned proudly to the scene. With international expansion plans well underway, it was only expected that they looked to Singapore as their next launching ground.<\/p>

With the opening of the first store, the space will carry the\u00a0latest Fall\/ Winter 2015\u00a0collection, which includes\u00a0a mix of their signature vibrant hues,\u00a0as well as some darker ones, like the navy blue and black ensembles. One of the most gorgeous pieces is the Daniel dress that comes with deep magenta flower petals printed against an\u00a0orange base. Surprisingly, the two contrasting colours do complement each other and could not look more perfect in place.<\/p>

With\u00a0bright colours and quirky-cute prints in their arsenal of sartorial choices, it's hard to miss the store and not go in for a look. So whether you're a woman shopping for yourself, or a mother shopping for your child, Oilily will definitely serve as your all-in-all space.<\/p>
