As we bring you the highlights from last night's 2015 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>, we show you how we were inspired by one of the beauty looks on the red carpet. Singer Halsey was a modern androgynous-cool beauty with a slicked-back cropped hairstyle, velvet-detail jumpsuit and a bright pout. Read on to find out how you can recreate her makeup look.<\/p>

Lashes and lips are the standout features here, so keep everything else to a minimum by focusing on flawless skin with a full-coverage foundation that will give you an even base. Add some definition to the face\u00a0by contouring subtly and adding generous amounts of highlighter<\/a> to the tops of cheekbones, tip of the nose and cupid's bow. Fill in the brows as you normally would and move onto the eyes without worrying about eyeshadow. You can then curl the lashes and apply one to two coats of volumising mascara, and let dry before gently popping on a full set of false lashes.<\/p>

Lastly, give colour to a monochrome outfit with a bright orange lip<\/a> by Make Up For Ever<\/strong> and consider slicking your hair back the way Halsey did for a sexy borrowed-from-the-boys look.<\/p>
