\"It's hard to pinpoint one exact thing I like about Singapore especially when it's a country where I've grown up in as a kid - childhood memories are the most special after all. So what I do love about this tiny island nation is that as much as it gets developed, revamped and rebuilt, there are still elements retained that remind you of the yester years - such as the brilliantly restored shophouses or the newly refurbished Capitol Theatre. I love how the old & new meets so harmoniously in this city.\"<\/p>

A foodie's paradise<\/strong><\/span> <\/h5>

\"Truly my favourite part about Singapore is the fact that almost every corner is littered with good places to eat and it's very rare that you'll chance upon a place serving terrible food. What's also nice is that all the good eateries are not just gathered in one area, but spread about nicely so every neighbourhood has their own claim to foodie fame.\"<\/p>

\"It's hard to pick<\/span> a favourite, but what I absolutely love most about Singapore is our diversity. Growing up surrounded by peers of other races and faiths has given me so many opportunities to learn about their cultures. This led me to further understand my own traditions, heritage and practices, to better answer any queries my friends ask about my culture.\"<\/p>

Labrador Nature Reserve<\/strong><\/span> <\/h5>

\"My father used to bring us (3 other sisters and me) there regularly when we were young. It was our favourite spot after dinner where we would take a walk and simply just hang out.\u00a0And during daytime when the tide was low, we would roll up our pants and go searching for crabs and clams.<\/p>

Right now, it is a 10 minutes drive away from my current home, and I always love to go there between workplace and home just to listen to the crashing of the waves, feel the sea breeze and watch the sun set.<\/p>

It is one of the few places in Singapore where you can catch a nice sunset. During the weekends, I\u2019d bring my 5 year-old for some cycling and roller skating.\u00a0This is a place with rich history and still remains mainly untouched, unlike other parks that have been taken over by pubs and cafes. The only food and beverage spot that you can find here is the ice cream uncle on his motorbike and sidecart.<\/p>

With the ever-changing landscape in Singapore. This is one part of Singapore I wish will remain the same for many years to come.\"<\/p>

Singapore is clean and safe<\/strong><\/span> <\/h5>

\"My favourite part about Singapore would have to be (as clich\u00e9 as it sounds) that it is a clean and safe environment to live in. Our streets are generally really clean and I know I can still apply the 3 second rule when I drop food on the ground (haha!). When I was in primary school, my parents would allow me to walk home myself without the fear that I\u2019ll be kidnapped. It\u2019s also safe for women to carry their handbags without the fear of robbers snatching it away from them. As the Singaporean slogan for our anti-crime campaign goes, 'Low crime does not mean no crime', but low crime is still a lot more than what most cities can say for themselves. This is why I love living in Singapore..\"<\/p>
