That's nice, but for the bearded 'old aunts' or picky eaters, it won\u2019t end well.<\/p> <p>For family holidays, it's better if it's your family. Every time you say, \u201cI\u2019m single,\u201d someone might quickly find themselves in an infantile position, with thoughts similar to the line of: \"Another dip in the pool? But you just had a full meal!\" Or you might be used in the role of the committed babysitter: \"Can you look after\u00a0the little ones? We\u2019d like to make a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/culture\/singapore-events\/news-and-activities\/singapore-restaurant-month-eat-way-50-best-restaurants-town-109159.html\">restaurant<\/a>\u00a0reservation without the kids.\" And if your thing is to watch streaming movies at night and get up late, you must brave the disapproving looks. Avoid the holidays with the family of others.<\/p> <p>Reserve your surprises at dinner parties, unless one has rung you up beforehand to avoid the famous couples table, or to ensure you make conversation with the old ex out of nowhere. Presentations will not be subtle, going a little something like, \"She\u2019s of good family, has a degree and is friends with the owner of a farm in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/culture\/entertainment\/parlez-vous-francaise-10-handy-french-phrases-know-110823.html\">France<\/a>.\" Both single. You prefer to be invited as a friend and not as a friend to be interrogated. But a single friend is scary to married women, who will think you want to wreck their household, as if there were no available men on the market. Whereas if there are plenty, you\u2019d be labelled a <a
