Following last Sunday's successful Kueh Appreciation Day, we can now look forward to yet another food festival that will have us indulging in sumptuous local cuisine in the lead up to the grand #SG50 celebrations.<\/p>

Up till August 2, in celebration of Singapore\u2019s Golden Jubilee, the Singapore Favourite Food Village 2015<\/strong> pays homage to Ellenborough Market, one of the country\u2019s most iconic hawker centres with the theme \u201cA Wok Down Memory Lane at Ellenborough Market\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>

Held in conjunction with Singapore Food Festival, the 10-day festival that's taking place at Read Bridge, Clarke Quay<\/strong> aims to celebrate the evolution of Singapore's culinary<\/a> landscape from its humble hawker beginnings to a cosmopolitan city with international cuisine on offer.<\/p>

While the spotlight is no doubt on the country\u2019s multicultural local delights, Teochew<\/strong> cuisine has been singled out for celebration this year, with celebrity chef Eric Low at hand to show visitors how to prepare Teochew Opera Porridge. To add to the authenticity of the experience, classic Teochew Opera will be played to accompany your bowl of Teochew porridge.<\/p>

In addition to feasting and being entertained, there will also be live cooking demonstrations where celebrated local culinary heroes will display their cooking skills and share their knowledge in a step-by-step show. If you\u2019ve always wanted to know how to make yam paste, Heh Zor, Teochew Braised Pork and other similar Teochew dishes<\/a>, now is the time to get first hand input from the experts themselves.<\/p>

So fellow foodies, be sure to mark your calendars for a wonderful weekend of feasting and entertainment!<\/p>
