Held from July 31 to August 9, <strong>Scoops of Hope<\/strong> sees eight celebrity chefs from Marina Bay Sands\u2019 restaurants concoct local flavours of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/food\/hot-spots\/39-gelato-bar-true-blue-italian-serve-91840.html\">gelato <\/a>in aid of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. Proceeds from the sales will go towards helping children from low-income families.<\/p> <p>If you\u2019ve ever wondered how <em>masala teh tarik<\/em> gelao would taste like, now\u2019s your chance to find out. Adrift by <strong>David Myers<\/strong> is creating a spin on the popular milk tea beverage that is something of a national drink in the country.<\/p> <p>Other participating chefs that pay tribute to the local flavours of Singapore include <strong>Wolfgang Puck<\/strong>, with his <em>gula Melaka<\/em> concoction and<strong> Tetsuya Wakuda<\/strong> of <strong>Waku Ghin<\/strong> with his coconut and\u00a0white miso gelato offering, which takes inspiration from <em>chendol<\/em>, one of Chef Tetsuya\u2019s favourite local desserts.<\/p> <p><em>The pop-up store will be located at The Shoppes Canal Level, B2 from 11am to 9pm.
