As perhaps one of the most talked about shows at Milan Fashion Week <\/a>earlier this year thanks to the Zoolander moment, Valentino<\/a> sure knows how to make a grand exit. While Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson\u00a0no doubt stole the limelight, the clothes on display nonetheless held their own weight on the runway and for good reason.<\/p>

This season, for the Fall\/ Winter 2015-16 collection, creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli<\/strong> were inspired by two women who effortlessly translate fragility and sensuality to strength and feminine grace. The two artists and muses were Emilie Louise Fl\u00f6ge<\/strong> and Celia Birtwell.<\/strong>\u00a0The former, Emilie was the companion of painter, Gustav Klimt<\/strong> and subject of his many paintings, while Celia was the wife of Ossie Clark<\/strong> and a prominent figure of Swinging London.<\/p>

Hence, by taking reference from the two individuals' spirit and style, the collection essentially features fluid silhouettes gently interposed between heavy, felt materials. Starting off with illusory monochrome stripes and moving on to decorative lace gowns to eventually featuring floral prints alongside\u00a0butterfly and dragon motifs, the duality of aesthetics was largely evident.<\/p>

Nonetheless, the entire runway was filled with a subtle sense of feminine sensuality where\u00a0necks were graced with dainty scarves tied in bows, floor-sweeping lengths and sheer fabrics. Ultimately, we have to say we're enthralled by the pieces and to have them in our wardrobe would be a fairytale dream some true.<\/p>

There's a reason why Valentino's creative directors won the International Award at the CFDA Awards<\/a>\u00a0this year - they're pure geniuses in creating poetry.<\/p>
