The Pan-Asian cuisine served up by <strong>Chef\u00a0Will Meyrick<\/strong> has won him many accolades and seen him open\u00a0an outlet in culinary crazy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/face-of-the-day-beauty\/fotd-michelle-yeoh-amfar-hong-kong-gala-84156.html\">Hong Kong<\/a>.<\/p> <p>Meyrick, the chef behind the much-lauded\u00a0Sarong Restaurant in Seminyak gets his inspiration from\u00a0street food spanning South East Asian countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Cambodia. Meyrick, affectionately known as the Street Food Chef\u00a0was recently in Singapore for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/singapore-events-lifelove\/world-gourmet-summit-14-events-not-missed-89644.html\">World Gourmet Summit <\/a>and one of his contributions to the event was a tasting for Mama San at Longtail.<\/p> <p>Joined by his Thai business partner, Chef Palm Amatawet, the duo cooked up a storm of delectable Balinese favourites with a contemporary twist. As members of the media, we had a chance to savour \u00a0the culinary creations of the Masterchef himself.<\/p> <p>Our 7-course luncheon\u00a0proved\u00a0to be an exciting guessing game for our taste buds as most of us had no inkling as to what we were being served. Each dish was a mystery masked in the vivid colours of fresh produce. Cheese, fresh coconut, limegrass, and <em>sambal <\/em>mingled beautifully, transcending the barriers of sweet, salty and sour in one bite.\u00a0\u00a0Murmurs of satisfaction\u00a0could be heard throughout the meal and no one left their plates unfinished, the best testimonial any chef could hope for.<\/p> <p>What can we say, it was a feast to remember.<\/p>  <p><em>Text and photos: Karen
