Lack of essential proteins, specifically keratin, will cause hair to be\u00a0brittle and eventually fall. Similarly, anaemia or lack in iron intake\u00a0causes\u00a0underproduction of hemoglobin, which means there is\u00a0less oxygen reaching the organs and hair follicles. Inevitably, thinning hair is what comes next.\u00a0Besides protein and iron, vitamins C and B-complex are also important for the hair.<\/p> <h2> <span>#3 Excess of Vitamin A<\/span> <\/h2> <p>Overconsumption of\u00a0vitamin A\u00a0through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/health\/healthy-practices\/how-to-choose-your-supplements-83654.html#post-83654\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">supplements and other medications <\/a>might trigger thinning hair. Thankfully, this type of hair loss is reversible. All you need to do is reduce the intake and hair will start growing normally.<\/p> <h2> <span>#4 Genes<\/span> <\/h2> <p>Does your family have a history of hair loss? Like many medical conditions, premature thinning hair may be hereditary. There are over-the-counter medication for this type of hair loss, or better yet, see a professional.<\/p> <h2> <span>#5 Overstyling<\/span> <\/h2> <p>Do you change your hair colour too often, live by a lineup of chemical products, and blow dry (curl or straighten) your locks\u00a0with intense heat? You might want to think twice about your hair treatments and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/get-the-look\/video-create-quick-easy-hairstyles-valentines-day-73119.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">styling routine<\/a> and the possible\u00a0irreversible long-term repercussions involved.<\/p>  <p>Sometimes thinning hair can be caused by simple things like tying your hair with a rubber band too tightly for too long, or as complicated as a serious health condition.
