In this time and age where people are so beauty conscious, one cannot afford to be seen in public with horrible eyebrows.<\/a>\u00a0Yet coming up with that perfect, Cara Delevingne<\/a> thick and lush eyebrows is easier\u00a0imagined than done.<\/p>

If you're not sure how to\u00a0make the best out of your own brows, here are some tips from brow whiz,\u00a0Benefit beautician Jennifer Whabe.\u00a0<\/strong>She shares which\u00a0trimming tools you should trust\u00a0and what the key points are to keep in mind when you're aiming for that perfect shape.<\/p>

Time your\u00a0trimmings<\/span> <\/h2>

If you go to a beautician to get your brow done<\/a>, make a monthly\u00a0appointment. If you maintain them yourself then spend around one minute every week to pluck your eyebrows. Time is important because you don't want to over-trim your treasured brows and end up with a distorted pair.\u00a0It's also useful to step away from the mirror to have a well-rounded view.<\/p>

Tip:<\/strong> Try not to focus too long on one\u00a0eyebrow and certainly do not pluck your brows every day. Otherwise your skin will feel some irritation or even face ingrown hairs from excessive tweezing.<\/p>

Making use of the scissors<\/span> <\/h2>

Brush the eyebrows starting from the head and go towards the arch.\u00a0Using scissors, cut the stray hairs that are too long. Then, going in the opposite direction, this time brush the hair down\u00a0and do the last round of trimming.<\/p>

Tip:<\/strong> Leave the wax to the skilled hands of beauticians. Tweezers and scissors are much easier to use.<\/p>

'Brow Mapping'<\/span> <\/h2>

For the perfect eyebrow line, Jennifer\u00a0shares the rules to 'Brow mapping', a technique created by Benefit'<\/strong>s beauticians<\/a> three decades ago.<\/p>

First, locate\u00a0the 3 defining points of your brow:\u00a0A) The starting point, B) The arch and C) The\u00a0tail. Imagine the brow is made up of two lines: one from point A to B, and another one from B to C.<\/p>

Pluck each hair underneath that line but not above. You don't want to end up with a distorted shape. It's useful to use pointed tweezers. The pointy end will help grab the\u00a0brow hair\u00a0more easily.<\/p>
