The pain reliever can be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/health\/medical-news\/aquaholics-beware-dont-drink-much-water-75713.html#post-75713\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a life saver<\/a> but other times it could be your worst nightmare.<\/p> <p>We don't hesitate to swallow the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/health\/medical-news\/mighty-pill-swallow-drug-see-cancer-76962.html#post-76962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">small yet potent pill <\/a>on an empty stomach to relieve our stomach ache, or after a drunken night to avoid having a hangover, or as soon as we feel\u00a0a slight headache. <strong>Paracetamol<\/strong> (marketed by brands like\u00a0Tylenol, Advil or the sort) is\u00a0even\u00a0recommended by the <strong>World Health Organization<\/strong> as\u00a0your first aid treatment.<\/p> <p>But\u00a0according to the study recently published\u00a0\u00a0in the <em>Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, <\/em>consuming a certain dose of the drug is tied to an\u00a0increased risk of\u00a0mortality. This is true for 63% of\u00a0those\u00a0who regularly consume 3g of paracetamol per day.<\/p>  <h2> <span>An enemy\u00a0to your liver, heart and kidney<\/span> <\/h2> <p>We've all heard how consuming too much\u00a0of paracetamol could cause liver disfunction\u00a0that might lead to the need of organ transplant.\u00a0Regular consumption also\u00a0boosts\u00a0the risk of developing ulcers as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/health\/medical-news\/soyez-sympa-cest-bon-pour-votre-coeur-31947.html#post-31947\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cardiovascular diseases <\/a>(including\u00a0stroke and\u00a0hypertension). Moreover,\u00a0this little drug\u00a0would double the risk of kidney problems you take over 500g of\u00a0paracetamol throughout <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/health\/healthy-practices\/six-tips-to-improve-stamina-74265.html#post-74265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your life<\/a>.<\/p> <p>Think about these three organs the next time you look for a quick way out of that migraine or stomach ache.
