The awards season is upon us <\/a>and brides-to-be had a lot to take inspiration from\u00a0this year at\u00a0the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards<\/strong> red carpet, as white - and shimmer - dominated the red carpet for the second year running.<\/p>

But while the colour of choice was not something\u00a0new, some of the\u00a0looks were definitely show-stopping like Kate Hudson<\/strong>'s\u00a0sexy Versace number and Salma Hayek<\/strong>'s Alexander\u00a0McQueen gown which oozed glamour. Others who failed to impress include Keira Knightly<\/strong> in her frumpy Chanel <\/a>- which in our opinion resembled a granny's getup - and Hollywood's <\/a>It<\/em> girl of the moment Rosamund Pike<\/strong> whose bridal Vera Wang gown was ill-fitting and unflattering for the otherwise stunning actress.<\/p>

White aside, we were blown away by some of the more unusual choices like Lorde<\/strong>'s sleek tuxedo\u00a0by\u00a0Narciso Rodriguez, Felicity Jones<\/strong>' impossibly elegant emerald Dior gown and Jessica Chastain's<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0sultry yet sophisticated Versace look.<\/p>

Many more stars caught our attention on the first\u00a0major red carpet event of the year so here's a roundup of our 20 best and worst dressed <\/a>from the Golden Globe Awards 2015.<\/p>
