It all began with one carefully marketed De Beers campaign which\u00a0presented diamonds as indispensable and instantly they were catapulted into fame as the emblematic symbol of love.<\/a> Since then, diamonds have been set in jewellery<\/a>, especially rings, and sold with a vengeance.<\/p>
