Avoid soap as it may harden the bristles\" says Cindy Pouchelet.<\/p> <p>Put a small amount of shampoo in the palm of your hand and\u00a0gently<em>\u00a0<\/em>rub the bristles in the soap (facing down). When there is no makeup residue left, rinse with warm water and gently squeeze them with a paper towel. Let them dry on a towel in open air near a heat source. Do not put them on a radiator and avoid the use of a hair dryer.<\/p> <h2> <span>Pro cleaning<\/span> <\/h2> <p>After using\u00a0a dark eyeshadow with a brush, use micellar water to clean it. If the pigments seem to be staining the brush, dip your tools into white vinegar for two minutes. Don't worry about the after-smell, it\u00a0will leave with time.<\/p> <p>As for foundation sponges and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/tried-and-tested\/the-beauty-blender-effect-1659.html#post-1659\">beauty blenders<\/a>, use the same mild shampoo.
