Julia Roberts,<\/a> touted as America's sweetheart for years with her irrefutable on-screen charm, was due to deliver yet another astounding performance - this time reserved for the billboards. Hence, as soon as news broke, it came without question that everyone in the fashion and movie industry alike took a welcomed shock to their mind when the Oscar-winning actress, at 47, was revealed as\u00a0the new face of Givenchy.<\/a><\/p>

Designer, Ricardo Tisci<\/strong> recruited the actress for the brand's Spring 2015 campaign. \u00a0Lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the monochrome campaign shots feature Roberts in some of Givenchy's timeless\u00a0pieces<\/a>, including a boxy jacket, a tuxedo dress and a lace shirt.<\/p>

To add to the vein of understated elegance, Roberts came onto the set with no makeup whatsoever as Tisci explains, \u201cSometimes, you shoot someone who\u2019s so popular, you try to make it glam, but I really wanted her the way she arrived: black jacket, men\u2019s shirt, jeans...no makeup.\u201d<\/p>

And we love her just the way she is, no frills attached.<\/p>
