Each year, for the past 11 years, the Frimousses de Createurs<\/em> charity project organized by UNICEF<\/a>\u00a0has been relying\u00a0on the creativity and imagination of the most famous designers and artists to raise funds for children affected deeply by hostilities in the Darfur region of Sudan.<\/p>

Luxury fashion houses, such as Dior<\/a>, Eli Saab and Dolce Gabbana, have joined the altruistic project, which has an opera theme this year. By participating, they are able to express their unique vision of the harmonious and enchanting theme by creating stunning, one-of-a-kind dolls.<\/p>

Dolce & Gabbana<\/a>, involved for the third consecutive year, has contributed with Violetta; a doll inspired by the main character in Verdi's La Traviata<\/em>. The doll is made from resin, has a hand-painted face, and wears a handmade black lace dress accessorized with coloured crystals and a brooch.<\/p>

Eli Saab dressed his\u00a0doll in a voluminous, satin poppy dress adorned with silk thread, flowers and glitter, inspired by its 2014 Spring\/Summer Haute Couture <\/a>collection.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Dior opted for a doll made completely from silk realized by hand, wearing a Couture dress embroidered with crystals and stones.<\/p>

All the creations are showcased from November 18-23 at the Theatre du Ch\u00e2telet in Paris<\/a>. They will then be auctioned on November 24 at an exclusive event. All the funds will go to UNICEF in aid of the children of Darfur.<\/p>

In 2013, the event raised a cool 185,000 \u20ac (SGD$ 300,000) for this worthy, humanitarian cause.<\/p>
