With National Day<\/a> peeking out from just round the corner, it is now an apt moment to reflect on one of Singapore\u2019s treasured resource, her people.<\/p>

A series of videos, titled The Best of Singapore, pays tribute to seemingly ordinary roles in the Singaporean society, \u00adthat typically go unnoticed by many. By capturing a team of individuals from a wide spectrum of backgrounds, the Youtube videos manage to offer a true and complete reflection of Singapore\u2019s culture.<\/p>

The first video in the series features a couple in their 20s who decided to serve the nation as regular soldiers, a 71 year-old porter who has been welcoming hotel guests for the last 15 years and a mother and son as hawkers in a wet market.<\/p>

Each individual provided an account of what they do, why they do it and little personal thoughts on Singapore - the land that they proudly call home. It\u2019s most definitely an endearing and heart-warming piece that tugs dearly at your heart strings. Even more so, the video is a stark reminder of how much Singaporeans tend to overlook in their everyday lives.<\/p>

So if there\u2019s anything that you do today, we urge you to spare 4 minutes to stop and listen. It'll be worth your time.<\/p>
