It\u2019s called \"the no make-up selfie\".<\/p> <p>The buzz comes from a collective action for cancer research where people were encouraged to post on social media pictures of themselves with no make-up followed by the hashtag <strong>#beatcancer<\/strong>. As Barbara Stead-Coyle, Canadian Cancer Society CEO said: \"The whole concept behind it is that perhaps, when women are going through cancer treatment, they don\u2019t feel as beautiful as we do with our full <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/beauty-sos\/treatments-go-wrong-19883.html#post-19883\">hair and makeup<\/a>. So it was really a show of support and at the same time, they can donate to cancer research\".<\/p> <p>In just two days, so many people posted a \"no makeup selfie\" that the campaign raised USD3million.<\/p> <p>Since then, the idea has gone viral and many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/fashion\/check-out-our-favourite-picks-from-the-fashion-world-just-for-you\/cannes-day-9-day-to-male-female-22800.html#post-22800\">celebrities <\/a>have begun to post their \"no make-up selfie\". Among them, are: <strong>Michelle Heaton<\/strong> who posted her make-up free selfie to support the cancer research; <strong>Gwyneth Paltrow<\/strong> who posted a picture of herself for the world water day and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/fashion\/latest-news\/lupita-nyongo-voted-beautiful-woman-world-18615.html\">Lupita Nyong'o<\/a><\/strong> who also shared her bare face with the world.<\/p> <p>We couldn\u2019t agree more with this trend! It's great to keep our face natural sometimes because we should never forget that we all are beautiful as we are!
