Together for 13 years, 3 children.<\/em><\/strong><\/p> <p><strong>What was your state of mind when you met?<br \/>  Virginia:<\/strong>\u00a0I was in a very unhappy marriage.\u00a0I longed for a light-hearted and reassuring adventure.\u00a0It is in this state that I met Emmanuel in a hospital in Montpellier, where I did an internship.\u00a0He managed a ward <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/expert-advice\/9-ways-preserve-marriage-birth-baby-18313.html#post-18313\">for children<\/a>.\u00a0One day, our eyes met, his were intense, deep, very nice.\u00a0I felt that I existed for him, I was a real person.\u00a0His eyes were full of expectations.<\/p> <p><strong>Emmanuel:<\/strong>\u00a0I had a girlfriend at the time, but when I saw Virginia, I immediately thought \u201cThat\u2019s her!\u201d I got her phone number from the hospital.\u00a0I invited her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/coaching-lifelove\/first-date-10-things-make-flee-19032.html#post-19032\">out for a drink<\/a>, my hunch was right, we had plenty in common, and she had a passion for architecture.<\/p> <p><strong>How did your love story happen?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/> <strong>Virginia:<\/strong>\u00a0We started out as friends, Emmanuel introduced me to his city.\u00a0It was only a few weeks later, in a garden, that he kissed me.\u00a0He was very attentive; I enjoyed the charm of our complicity without me projecting in long-term.<br \/> <strong>Emmanuel:<\/strong>\u00a0Gradually.\u00a0Then it became so strong that we decided to get married.<\/p> <p><strong>What did you like about each other?<\/strong><br \/> <strong>Virginia:<\/strong>\u00a0His extremely protective side.\u00a0Also the fact that we had the same view of the world.<br \/> <strong>Emmanuel:<\/strong>\u00a0That everything was so easy and natural.\u00a0I never really knew how to talk much, unlike her.\u00a0I've always been more dependent also...<\/p> <p><strong>What is the secret of your longevity?<\/strong><br \/> <strong>Virginia:<\/strong>\u00a0With three children, daily life is not as light-hearted, but we <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/travel\/now-or-never\/a-romantic-escape-to-old-europe-4710.html#post-4710\">escape together<\/a> for a few days, twice a year.<br \/> <strong>Emmanuel:<\/strong>\u00a0We always do little projects together.\u00a0I am working on a house that is really us, with a kitchen centrepiece.\u00a0We also dream of going on a world tour by boat.\u00a0For her sake, I always want to reach for the moon.<\/p>  <p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Read more from our\u00a0\u00a0report <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/coaching-lifelove\/aieshah-8-secret-making-love-story-last-21933.html#post-21933\">\u201cThe secrets to a lasting relationship\u201d<\/a><\/strong>:<br \/> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/coaching-lifelove\/testimonial-projects-weld-us-21937.html#post-21937\">Testimony: \u201cOur projects bound us\u201d<\/a><\/p> <p><em>\u00a0<\/em><br \/> <em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p> <p><em>Laurence Cochet<\/em><\/p> ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With three children, it is not always easy to find space for your partner.
