While\u00a0writing about red carpet fashion looks<\/a> of the stars, we're usually spoilt for choice when it comes to those who nail it and achieve the 'wow-factor'.<\/p>

But regarding the looks from the 2nd day of Cannes Film Festival <\/a>- our task was\u00a0harder than usual...<\/p>

The line between\u00a0dressing 'too much' and donning an\u00a0evening dress is sometimes very thin, and there is the inevitable slippage!<\/p>

This is exactly what happened with some stars at the Cannes red carpet.<\/p>

We therefore pick\u00a0our top 3 'faux pas'\u00a0of the day\u00a0- saving\u00a0the best for last:<\/p>

Ines de la Fressange<\/strong>\u00a0: We love\u00a0Ines!\u00a0At almost 57 years, she remains a world-class figure to rival all the young starlets in the making\u00a0-\u00a0she could almost get away with anything, or so we thought!<\/p>

The queen of style has so often dazzled us with her\u00a0taste for ultra simple looks, in truth it is (slightly) disappointing with this dress.\u00a0Yes, there are outfits whose simplicity highlights the beauty of the woman, but this\u00a0is almost too bland.\u00a0Especially with the sportysleeve, and the choice of\u00a0flat sandals<\/strong>\u00a0with a too-big ankle bracelet.<\/p>

Julianne Moore:<\/strong>\u00a0Dear Julianne\u00a0,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0it's not because you wear the\u00a0Louis Vuitton<\/a> dress that you are\u00a0guaranteed to make a splash on the red carpet.\u00a0The\u00a0leather\u00a0top is\u00a0too thick and too much (or not enough cleavage) while the long skirt in black satin is too winter-y as well; We are\u00a0also a bit disappointed by the beautiful redhead.<\/p>

Elena Lenina,\u00a0<\/strong>the Russian businesswoman\/host\/model\/author, is a a strong and smart woman!
But this outfit\u00a0makes us\u00a0wonder what is going through your head (except for that Alien-looking\u00a0double bun).
If it's still necessary to discuss what is wrong, we would say the\u00a0necklace\/XXL rosary<\/strong>, followed closely by her hair.
This could have been a\u00a0fun look<\/a> but here\u00a0it turns ugly.\u00a0Fashion faux pas or just looking for attention?<\/p>
