{"id":345312,"date":"2014-04-25T10:09:20","date_gmt":"2014-04-25T02:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/uncategorized-hk\/10-recipes-beautiful-hands-345312.html"},"modified":"2014-04-25T10:09:20","modified_gmt":"2014-04-25T02:09:20","slug":"10-recipes-beautiful-hands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/hk\/beauty-hk\/beauty-sos-hk\/10-recipes-beautiful-hands-345312.html","title":{"rendered":"10 Tips for beautiful hands!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/04\/hands.jpg\"><span style=\"display: block;\" class=\"wrap-img\" id=\"wrap-img-18573\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" itemprop=\"thumbnailUrl\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-18573 img-responsive  aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2014\/04\/hands.jpg\" alt=\"hands\" width=\"600\" height=\"499\" \/><\/span><\/a><\/p> <p><strong>#1 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/lifelove\/coaching-lifelove\/4-steps-managing-stress-18069.html#post-18069\">De-stress<\/a><\/strong><\/p> <p>Rolling marbles or a ball in your hands for 5-10 minutes a day is a great way to relax.\u00a0\u201cThese stretching movements facilitate a greater openness to the world, they make the stagnant energy start to flow again, they stimulate the reflexes in the centre of the palm, in relation to emotional tensions,\u201d says Colette Malissard, osteopath and a specialist in Chinese energy.<\/p>  <p><strong>#2 Massage with oil<\/strong><\/p> <p>Wrap the elbow with the hand, and press downwards with the palm facing down, then back up to the elbow, and back down to the wrist, twice.\u00a0Massage your forearm with the thumb, wrist, and hand in circles;\u00a0rub between the fingers, massaging each bone joint, with your palm facing the sky.\u00a0Press down on the forearm, twice on each side, and run back down with the thumb along the bone, massage the joints of the wrist, squeeze the inter-digital spaces (the bends along the finger), between your thumb and index finger, and massage the sides of the fingers in circles.<\/p>  <p><strong>#3 Intensive care<\/strong><\/p> <p>A recipe as minimalist as it is effective, by pharmacist Mich\u00e8le Nicou\u00e9-Paschoud*.\u00a0Mix half a teaspoon of vegetable glycerine with half a teaspoon of olive oil, two capsules of vitamin E and a drop of lemon-scented essential oil in a small, clean bowl.\u00a0Massage the hands with a third of this mix in the evening before bedtime for three consecutive days to regenerate damaged hands.<\/p> <p><em>*Author of <\/em>Cosm\u00e9 Kit\u2005: des recettes simples pour r\u00e9aliser ses produits de beaut\u00e9\u00a0soi-m\u00eame<em> (Cosmetic Kit: simple recipes to make your cosmetics yourself) (Michel Lafon).<\/em><\/p>  <p><strong>#4 Blemish-free<\/strong><\/p> <p>Isabelle Velasco, head of the <em>Florame <\/em>Organic Health and Beauty Space boutique in Paris, suggests diluting lemon <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/beauty\/beauty-buys\/battle-the-haze-with-natural-detoxifying-essential-oils-from-mt-sapola-9739.html\">essential oi<\/a>l in vegetable oil, to regularly massage onto spots and blemishes.\u00a0Note: Do not apply before going in the sun because the essential oil may be photosensitive.\u00a0Avoid if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and place one drop on the elbow to test before use, in case of very sensitive skin.<\/p>  <p><strong>#5 Keeping cool<\/strong><\/p> <p>In case of the occasional sweaty palm, powder them with a hint of corn flour (corn starch), advises Michele Nicou\u00e9-Paschoud.\u00a0However, if you suffer chronic hyperhidrosis, it is better consult a doctor.<\/p>  <p><strong>#6 Painkillers<\/strong><\/p> <p>\u201cIndian laurel oil\u00a0(<em>calophylle inophylle<\/em>) has excellent painkiller properties,\u201d says Mich\u00e8le Nicou\u00e9-Paschoud, who recommends massaging hands with it regularly.\u00a0As the vegetable oil native to the Indian Ocean also affects blood circulation, it should be avoided in case of anticoagulant treatment.<\/p>  <p><strong>#7 Keeping warm<\/strong><\/p> <p>By putting on two pairs of gloves (of the lightest material \u2013 silk lining, if possible), not too tight, to trap air, you provide the hands good insulation.\u00a0To boost the capillary circulation, consume purple or dark red fruits and vegetables (eg: blackcurrant, blueberry, red cabbage, beetroot), whose pigments fight against fragility of the veins, without moderation.<\/p>  <p><strong><br \/>  #8 Keep \u2018em clean!<\/strong><\/p> <p>Effective lathering lasts for at least 30 seconds.\u00a0Nursing protocol dictates pouring liquid soap on wet hands, rubbing palm against palm, then each palm against the back of the other hand, and then yet again palm against palm, this time with fingers interlaced. Next, use the opposite hand to rub the back and fingers of the hand.\u00a0Wipe with tissue or a clean, dry towel.\u00a0It works exactly the same way for alcoholic gels and hand sanitizers.<\/p>  <p><strong>#9 Sublimate<\/strong><\/p> <p>... inspired by the <em>Sublime Mains<\/em> (sublime hands) treatment developed by Isabel Velasco Florame. This treatment is exactly as you would practice with facial products\u2026 except on your hands!
