We\u2019re talking about the World Gourmet Summit, which is the epitome of all the best epicurean delights Nero would have given his eyetooth for.<\/p> <p>Think Michelin-star chefs, impeccably prepared multiple-course meals at themed dinners and <a title=\"Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2014 \u2013 Hong Kong\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/vinexpo-asia-pacific-2014\/\">artisan wine tastings<\/a>, served to you at some of Singapore\u2019s leading restaurants and hotel venues \u2013 the 18th edition of the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) promises to offer all that and more.<\/p> <p>The annual event is held in Singapore, and runs over the course of 11 days\u00a0at various world-class venues in Singapore \u2013 including <em>Mandarin Oriental<\/em>, <em>Four Seasons Hotel<\/em>, <em>The Fullerton Hotel<\/em>, <em>The St. Regis<\/em>, <em>Grand Hyatt<\/em> and the <em>Raffles Hotel<\/em>.<\/p> <p>In addition, 22 Partner Restaurants and more than 12 hosting establishments are working towards an extraordinary event this year, with their special WGS menus and culinary events. This year\u2019s summit, organized by \u00c0 La Carte Productions (a division of Peter Knipp Holdings Pte Ltd), will run from the <strong>26th of March to the 5th of April<\/strong>, with Citibank Singapore Limited and Singapore Tourism Board, as its presenting partners. The event offers not only a fabulous dining experience but also showcases and celebrates the culinary achievements of some of the world\u2019s top-tier chefs.<\/p> <p>This year\u2019s accolades will be handed out on the last day of the event and will honour 29 of the epicurean industry\u2019s best in <a title=\"Asia Fashion Collection SS14 at Robinsons, Singapore\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mariefranceasia.com\/asia-fashion-collection-preview-ss14-robinsons\/\">Asia,<\/a> including chefs from restaurants we hold in high esteem, here in Singapore.<\/p> <p>2013\u2019s World Gourmet Summit saw about 20,000 people gracing the event, establishing it as one of the most successful events of last year. This year\u2019s theme focuses on<strong> \u2018The Classics\u2019<\/strong>, in a bid to up the ante. While focusing on food and service quality of the highest order, this year\u2019s event, as the title suggests, \u2018promises to satisfy the most discerning of palates and to create the most gastronomic dining experience for all food connoisseurs and wine aficionados\u2019. In addition to having some of last year\u2019s events return this year, a variety of new events have been thrown into the mix to add to WGS\u2019s - under the purview of CEO Peter Knipp - ever-evolving gastronomic vision. In addition to the exclusive dinners, that are priced anywhere from <em>SGD80++ (approx. USD64) to SGD928<\/em><em>\u00a0(approx. USD732)<\/em> there are also jam sessions with world-renown chefs that are priced at <em>SGD70++<\/em><em>\u00a0(approx. USD55)<\/em> and above.
