OK let's be clear. We're no fans of cheap, nasty flipflops (yes even on the beach!) so finding an alternative is essential especially when we live in the tropics and of course are always hopping to a nearby island for a long weekend break. So when someone comes in and offers us an equally convenient option yet with the same level of craftsmanship and luxury we adore about our Prada platforms, we're bound to love it!<\/p>

The new Singapore-based label GeorgeBlue<\/a>, founded by ex-banker Rebecca Walters,\u00a0specialises in exquisitely-made flat sandals (we'd never even dare call them flipflops!) which are perfect to still keep you looking chic even on the beach.<\/p>

For this young resort footwear brand, it's all about the details, and it shows. From the choice of the highest grade leather and material (sourced from Italian tanneries who supply luxury brands such as Chanel <\/a>and Gucci<\/a>), to the immaculate sole stitching and meticulous assembling by hand - the whole process of making each pair takes place in Tuscany to ensure the best quality possible.<\/p>
