The final two days of Singapore Fashion Week 2013 were fairly laid back and relaxed when compared to the impetus that started the final week of shows. Friday\u00a0October 18 was wholly dedicated to pr\u00eat-a-porter and sleepwear, whereas Saturday the 19th\u00a0exclusively showcased Singaporean talent Frederick Lee and closed the curtains with the Love Bonito and Julien Fourni\u00e9 collaboration.<\/p>

French Pr\u00eat-a-porter and Luxury Sleepwear <\/strong><\/p>

Floral themes and references filled HK-based brand\u00a0Moiselle<\/a>\u2019s runway as we witnessed beige silk flower appliqu\u00e9s on beige embroidered flowers, yellow stylised flowers delicately sewn on see-through fabric and bouquets brightly printed on black jackets.<\/p>

The pieces selected from the \u201cLost in Russia\u201d collection, presented a wide range of coats and jackets and stayed true to the brand both in terms of quality and in terms of femininity.<\/p>

Following the above-mentioned feminine collection, another French designer and tenant of Marina Bay Sands Shoppes, Parisian Germain<\/a>, also exhibited a fall and winter collection.<\/p>

This time materials were much heavier and included tweed, fur and wool. Colour blocking and usage of bright monochromes defined most pieces thus creating a collection for a more contemporary portrait of women, unlike what was previously seen on the night.<\/p>

The day ended in the Crystal Ballroom, which was first turned into a circular runway for luxury sleepwear brand Ari Dein <\/a>and later disguised as a cosy living room setting for TV host and stylist Jeannie Mai and her guests. The American host and stylist presented a fashion and beauty segment to be broadcast internationally.<\/p>

Ari Dein <\/a>sleepwear was classy and traditional; mainly Art Deco inspired, as it was sufficiently evident from the white, black and tan pyjama part of the collection. The focus was on lounging rather than sleeping.<\/p>

There was no shortage of Charmeuse, lace and crepe de chine, which attributed a refined tone to the collection.<\/p>

Singapore's got talent!<\/strong><\/p>

The closing day of Fashion Week opened with the darkest and most Gothic collection that this Singapore edition has seen. Singapore's own\u00a0Frederick Lee<\/a>, renowned for his flamboyant creations, announced an all-black collection which was supposed to be reminiscent of \u201cdeath and destruction\u201d. He certainly kept to his word and offered a black on black (on black!) collection, which was nonetheless elaborate and all the way couture.<\/p>

The \u201cInferno\u201d theme was thoroughly dramatised and put on stage by horned creatures at the sound of sci-fi movie \u201cThe 6th<\/sup> Sense\u201d and to the daunting toll of a clock tower at midnight. Embroidery was abundant and so was the appearance of black feathers, perhaps suggestive of the angel of death.<\/p>

The night -and the week as a whole- was brought to an end on a definitely brighter tone, by the playful trio composed of two Singaporean entrepreneurs (Love, Bonito)<\/a> and Parisian Couturier Julien Fourni\u00e9<\/a>.
