If time and cash permits, it\u2019s advised that you should push though that 15 hour flight sitting between a snorer and a serial conversationalist for a Euro summer. Just think, aside from the smorgasbord board of delectable eats, namely carbohydrates and creamy desserts seemly always at your disposal and abundance of fine wines made from grapes basking in the sunshine, there are always those slightly overweight, leathery people lounging by the turquoise waters reminding you that Europeans know how to relax!<\/p>

In temporarily subscribing to this chilled way of life, my destination of choice this year was Mykonos, Greece. Here are my top picks of exploration of this cosmopolitan beachside town in the Aegean Sea.<\/p>

Visit Nammos<\/strong><\/p>

Frequented by celebrities like style guru Olivia Palermo or even Mr Valentino himself (minus his pug entourage), this is one location for a lazy then party time afternoon with friends in the azure cool waters of Psarou Beach. Whether it\u2019s a day bed you\u2019re after or a breakfast\/brunch, lunch or dinner this is the place to people watch or be seen if you are that way inclined. My advice, get there early and snag prime position or even book in advance. Be warned it can be an expensive day out with prices costing you up to around USD150 for a culinary experience at this waterside restaurant.<\/p>

Hire a quadbike<\/strong><\/p>

Let your hair down (and have it blown back into your face ungracefully) by cruising around the island on a four-wheel-drive of the bike variety. To hire one, you\u2019ll need your credit card and current driver\u2019s licence. This freedom will set you back roughly 30 Euro per day. It\u2019s enlivening to scoot around at your own leisure, take in the spectacular panoramic views and stop in for a swim when the heat gets too much in this cloudless part of the world.<\/p>

\"IMG_0723\"<\/span><\/a>Eat dinner at Nobu<\/strong><\/p>

If you\u2019re sick of consuming the traditional local foods night after night, try some sushi at the world famous Nobu which is found nestled in the Belvedere Hotel<\/a> in Mykonos town. The food (shout out to the Black Cod with Miso) doesn\u2019t disappoint and the ambience is completely chic \u2013 exactly what you\u2019d come to expect from the acclaimed restaurant.<\/p>

Get lost in the town<\/strong><\/p>

The city centre is like a maze of gorgeous white houses splashed with blue, topped off with bougainvillea flowers to soften the edges. Even washing drying on line somehow looks idillic! At every corner there is a cute caf\u00e9 or clothing shop to peruse. It\u2019s little wonder luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has set up shop here. I personally was in shoe heaven with the gladiator sandals available in the many little boutiques and of course took home a pair as a souvenir.<\/p>

Party in Little Venice<\/strong><\/p>

It\u2019s the hot spot where the sea meets the city. I would suggest a dinner on the waters edge overlooking the windmills till after sunset (try Aqua <\/a>for food) followed by cocktails or Ouzo in one of the many hole in the wall bars. Little Venice is probably the most bustling spot of Mykonos and also the most touristy, hence the higher prices. But if you\u2019ve traveled nearly nine thousand kilometers from Asia to get there, I say \u201ckali thiaskethasi!<\/em>\u201d or \u201cenjoy yourself!\u201d in Greek.<\/p>
