Happy people apparently have no history of\u00a0their sadness<\/a>. The adage applies only to couples. Singles, especially women, are looked on with suspicion (even\u00a0leaving others squinting), because otherwise they would be in a relationship, right? The times pass, but the spinster image remains. Those who still fly solo<\/a>\u00a0over the age of 35 are labelled either neurotic, unattractive or a man-eater (perhaps even with\u00a0corpses piled in their cellars).<\/p>
