We're officially into the swing of things with New York Fashion Week<\/a>. Granted, it's been a somewhat momentous week for the fashion world, with models (finally!) getting private changing rooms for the first time in fashion week history.<\/p>

This welcome news is not the only thing making a statement on the runway, however. A mere glance at any of the season's designs will have you notice that statement bags are making it big<\/em> on the runway.<\/p>

Tom Ford's<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>80s-inspired chain bag, for one, boldly references\u00a0 the power of the female anatomy, whilst Jeremy Scott<\/a> <\/strong>delighted us with his parade of furry backpacks in bright, psychedelic colours.<\/p>
