We're officially into Day 2 of Paris Fashion Week<\/a>, the last stop of Fashion Month's Fall 2018 collections - and one thing's for sure: it's all about the '60s and '80s throwback on the runway.<\/p>

The statement coat<\/a> is everywhere in every imaginable silhouette, shade and print. There was the dramatic 80s' shoulder pads<\/a> in Saint Laurent and Dior's checkered variety (reminiscent of Cher in Clueless<\/em>). Despite the plummeting temperatures, the necklines were also lower than ever\u00a0 - everywhere from Lanvin to Proenza Schouler<\/a> - and the hemlines shorter as well.<\/p>

In our current social climate of discussions on equality and women's rights, it was also only inevitable fashion becomes a medium for social issues. Case in point: Dior. Under the helm of artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the French fashion house made bold statement on feminism. A graphic collage of magazine covers, posters and slogans that read \"female rights are human rights\" covered the runway venue at Musee Rodin, with their season's collections similarly echoing feminist ideals.<\/p>
