If you prefer your festive treats traditional, fret not; the 24-hour café’s brought back is traditional baked mooncake, Over The Moon, which features a glistening salted egg yolk ensconced in a silky smooth lotus seed paste, all wrapped in a traditional golden brown baked pastry skin.

The restaurant has collaborated with award-winning pâtissier Melissa Chou, who resides as the pastry chef at the one Michelin-starred restaurant Mister Jiu in San Francisco. Working closely with Yan Ting’s pastry and dim sum chef, Vanessa Chai, the culinary duo have created a selection of traditional baked flavours and indulgent snowskin varieties, like the new Black Sesame Paste with Salted Peanut Truffle Snow Skin Mooncake and Jasmine Tea Paste with Salted Egg Yolk, and East-meets-West flavours like the Custard with Macadamia Nuts Snow Skin Mooncake. The restaurant’s signature gold-hued mooncakes and Yunnan ham-baked renditions also make a return in its selection of baked treats, as is their delicious low-sugar alternative, the Reduced Sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts Baked Mooncake.
