The fourth edition of the design exhibition might have wrapped up this Sunday, but we've come away with the highlights of the show

Acre
Co-founded in 2011 by T Y Zheng and Jason Song, ACRE operates from the industrial heartlands of Singapore. The group deals with creative works concerning advertising, branding, illustration and graphic design. Some of their most successful recent projects include Yardstick Coffee, PACT, Spur Pop-Up and Scotia Marine.

Synergraphic Design
Since its inception in 1986 Synergraphic has become synonymous with quality and innovation in glass art and design for architectural and interior spaces.Notable past projects include the large scale glass sculptures for Taipei 101 titled "The Partners", installations at The St. Regis Hotel, Singapore, and the "Crystal Glass Tower" for Brunei.

Calvin Pang
Pang is a visual artist and his works are made up of the ordinaries in life, solitary interludes and encounters with people. Along with his art practice, he documents his existence through original images and text. Despite its simplicity, his What We Are Constantly Loosing piece at SingaPlural was one of the main attractions of the event - and frankly speaking, the one which caught our attention the most.

Carrie K
Carrie K. is at the forefront when it comes to the local jewellery design scene. The designer creates playfully provocative artisan-crafted jewellery that challenges traditional notions of what makes something precious and desired.

Depression
Kenny Lim and Andrew Loh quit their corporate jobs in the advertising world to start Singapore fashion label Depression.Their avant garde ready-to-wear graphic t-shirt collections are ironic, entertaining and darkly humorous and have been featured in WWD Japan, Top Fashion TV Beijing, NHK's Tokyo Fashion Express and many more.

The design scene in Asia may have previously took a backseat to crowd favourites like food and fashion, but not anymore. Singapore's design landscape has very much improved by leaps and bounds with design events pulling in the crowds, young and old alike. Design fairs are a great way to discover new and emerging talent as well as keep up-to-date with the new works of artists you've been following and the fourth edition of what proved to be an amazing showcase at Singaplural. The event has certainly proved that Singapore's design scene, while infantile, does have incredible potential, judging by the impressive array of talent on display.

The exhibition might be over, but we've picked out the top 5 highlights of the event and the artists you should keep an eye on.
