How to cut your own fringe!
"My fringe grows very fast and I do not have time to go to the hairdresser to trim it. How do I cut it myself?" A question from Catherine, 37.
- Separate your bangs into three strands, one on the nose (which serves as a reference), and one on each side.
- Using scissors (preferably pro) positioned horizontally, cut the middle a little bit below the ideal length. You can always cut it a little more if it is too long.
- Proceed in the same way, on the side locks. The trick to avoid uneven fringe? When cutting the left side, direct the edge of the scissors to the left. And when cutting the right side, the opposite.
Olivier Lebrun's advice:
- If your hair is thick, separate the strands in several layers by clipping the hair on the top of the skull.
- If your hair is fine or thin, forget the fringe! otherwise you'll risk losing the little volume you have.
