Essential Oils: What is the correct way to inhale them?
We already know the benefits of inhaling essential oils, but what's the best way to do it?
If you really want to enjoy the fragrance of essential oils and make the most of their therapeutic properties (as disinfectants or relaxing agents, among others), it is best to diffuse them cold, with a suitable device. But in cases of an 'emergency', breathing essential oils straight from the bottle is also effective.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT DEVICES
Ultrasonic diffusers for essential oils, which spray a mixture of essential oils and water, are safe for daily use. But it's wise to be careful when opting for steam inhalation as this method tends to be more powerful. The glass bowls or vessels should not be heated for more than 10 minutes per half-hour, but if you wish to completely disinfect a room, leave it on for 30 minutes and make sure to leave the room and get some fresh air after.
Another way to fight the stuffiness of a room is by using air spritzers. Not only will you get a soothing ambience, you'll also get to combat germs at the same time. Generally they can be used several times a day but consult the manufacturer's recommendations just to be safe!
