According to the 16th barometer Cegos dedicated to the "Social climate in the company ", the psychosocial risks and stress are at a very high level. Here are the details.
The first report by Cegos barometer has revealed a strong degradation of the social climate, according to 53 % of employees and managers. Only 45 % of the employees are motivated by their current job, as opposed to 58 % in 2013. Furthermore, 54 % consider the climate within their team as globally satisfactory, as opposed to 68 % in 2013.
A QUARTER OF EMPLOYEES ARE AFFECTED BY BURN-OUT OR DEPRESSION
In the report, 53 % of employees and 68 % of managers admit to experiencing regular periods of stress at work; whereas 71 % of HR managers think that employees experience such levels of stress. Among those affected, 87 % of employees and 78 % of managers reveal that stress had a negative impact on their health. More alarmingly, a quarter of those questioned admitted having a serious psychological problem, such as depression or burn-out, at some point during their career.
As Annick Haegel, manager at Cegos and specialist of the Human Ressource issues, underlines in a press release: "the workload remains the main source of stress, for 64 % of the employees and managers declaring to undergo a regular stress. The second factor is the lack or the bad organization at work, followed by the ceaseless changes within the company, then by the lack of support and by the feeling of isolation".
Finally, due to the economic crisis, remuneration remains the main motivating factor for 60 % of employees, as opposed to 45 % in 2013.
