The killer question: How to wear makeup with glasses?
mis à jour le 4 May 2019 à 05:28With the advice of makeup artist Manuela Horn from Make Up For Ever - looking hot in your glasses just got much easier.

It's not always easy to rock makeup while wearing glasses - but it doesn't mean you have to give up cosmetics completely. Ladies, when there is a will, there's always a way!
Nearsighted:
Glasses create the illusion of smaller eyes, which is why it is better to use brightening colours (such as ivory, light beige and pastels). Make your eyes appear larger with a dash of white or nude eyeliner on your lower waterline. Coat both your upper and lower lashes with mascara.
Farsighted:
If you suffer from being farsighted, it means that your glasses have a magnifying effect that will make your eyes appear much larger than they are. Use dark colours (greys, deep browns and blacks) to reduce the magnified effect. If you want to wear eyeliner, make sure the line is ultra-thin.
The procedure:
- Start by camouflaging your dark circles with a light concealer - make sure it is 1-2 shades lighter than your foundation.
- Pluck your eyebrows - however, make sure to follow your natural hair line. Naturally fill in your brows with a pencil or shadow - this is a very important step in framing your face.
- Use mascara on both the top and bottom lashes for a doe-eyed effect. Don't deprive yourself of eyeliner either.
- Choose a neutral shadow and focus it on the centre of the eyelid.
- Highlight your eyes by blending a light shade into your inner tear-duct and a dark shade on the outer forth of your crease. Nude colours are pretty much suitable for any glasses frame and colour.
- Choose a bold lipstick - this will help draw attention to your eyes and make them stand out.
- If you want a smoky eye - forget black and opt for brown and grey shades.
